Job Title: Sr Permit Agent

Location: Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, New Mexico, Illinois 

 

Norfleet Land Services LLC (NLS) is seeking a Permitting Specialist to support all non-environmental permitting requirements pertaining to ROW activities in Texas, New Mexico, and/or Mississippi.

The Sr. Permit Agent is responsible for preparing, reviewing, tracking, and maintaining legal and technical documents related to land acquisition and right-of-way (ROW) agreements. This role supports project managers, land agents, and clients by ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements, enabling the timely execution of ROW projects. Additionally, the Sr. Permit Agent will have responsibilities to include the coordinating and establishing new site permits, modifying existing permits, and assisting with other permit types that may be necessary for permitting and construction needs, to include management of milestones to align all key stakeholders and sub-contracts to create alignment on execution of the rights granted in said permits. This position is on-site in western Texas, near Carlsbad New Mexico, central Mississippi, Louisiana and/or Illinois.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish a records system to contain/track permit details, uploads of digital files, as well as a completion of final files to contain paper copy of agreements that are fully executed.
  • Verify Permit requirements and stipulations are met.
  • Proactively communicate with clients, municipalities, and stakeholders, promptly addressing inquires with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintain standardized permit request packages specifically tailored to public land managers in the impacted areas.
  • Initiate contact with entities to provide the of scope of work, timing of proposed work, and access requirements to submit permit applications to secure all necessary permits.
  • Follow up with appropriate entities to obtain signed agreement.
  • Document and maintain records of all work performed at all sites, including dates and times of site visits, equipment and instrumentation information, site layout diagrams (as-builts), and photographs.
  • This requires close interaction and communication with field personnel and key stakeholders.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience performing tasks outlined herein, and the candidate must possess a strong understanding and proven experience with local and regional jurisdictional non-environmental permitting.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL required, database familiarity desired, as well as other Office applications.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to manage external stakeholders.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
